As pointed at WP:PROJCATS, there are content categories and project categories. The content categories are meant to have articles and only articles, while non-article pages go in project categories.
Category:Irredentism is a content category. Category:Nationalism templates is a project category. A template like this one is not an article, it's a non-article page, and can't be included in the first category. What this page is takes priority over what this page is about. I had deleted Great Timor from the list, as there is not a single Timorese or pro-Timorese source supporting that suppossed "Great Timor". The few and weak sources the article have are from Indonesian sources. Unless proof (not rumours) of that supposed irredentist movement is given, we cannot talk about a "Great Timor" wich it seems to exist only in the minds of Indonesian military and politics...--HCPUNXKID (talk) 16:14, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
Someone added Greater Bangladesh to the list, and after removing some added it back (anonymous so no names) with advise that I read the article on irredentism. An edit summary isn't a discussion space, and an edit war isn't a discussion. I reverted with a request to discuss. The WP:BRD cycle is more than complete.
Please, read the article on Greater Bangladesh, which says it's a conspiracy theory, and not irredentism. If you want it in the template you need to change the article first. Please, adhere to policies and guidelines when making those changes. If you want to include it here while the article says otherwise, then you need to achieve a WP:consensus here, on this talk page. On Guatemala's own wiki page, it states that it is a Central American country. I might be misunderstanding, but in that case, why is it listed under North America and not a separate Central American section? --HappyWithWhatYouHaveToBeHappyWith (talk) 17:08, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
The dispute over the ownership of the Rockhall (an unpopulated rock in the North Atlantic) is more about economic rights than irredentism. If Iceland is to be included in this template, then so should the UK as they too claim ownership of Rockhall. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cashew.wheel (talk • contribs) 11:44, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
This chart seems backwards. This is listing of places wanting to do the so-called annexing but sometimes one target has multiple suiters. i.e. Both Guyana and Suriname are after the Tigri Area area. So too both Venezuela and Guyana are after the Essequibo and then so too Guatemala and Mexico after a half of Belize. Also USA and Canada with Greenland. And India + China + Pakistan for Kashmir -- CaribDigita (talk) 18:10, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
